Designed to align with the university's goals, it provides a transparent view of our upcoming initiatives, projects and innovations. This roadmap serves as both a guide and a commitment, detailing each step we take as we enhance efficiency, collaboration and data-driven decision-making across S&T.
North Star Projects
North Star - Strategic Planning
Automating the tracking of S&T's North Star goals and Strategic Planning performance through a dedicated app and reports.
S&T Guide
Developing a streamlined solution for Graduate Faculty to oversee Graduate Assistants, student advising, mentoring, and grant proposals, enhancing efficiency in both pre-award and post-award monitoring.
Enrollment 2.0/Financial Aid
Building a comprehensive Financial Aid data model to be integrated into Enrollment's diagnostic and predictive reporting. This robust model supports Financial Aid's descriptive layer, contributing to the university's growth goal.
S&T Data Citizenship
Launching the S&T Data Citizenship initiative, offering robust online and in-person training on the MS BI stack and productivity tools like Teams, empowering users with the skills and knowledge to leverage data effectively
Facilities 2.0
Expansion of facilities reporting focusing on; Project & Contract Management for CPMs and PMs, inspections, Metasys/utilities, mobile apps, and administrative automations.

Leadership Continuity
Creating an app and reports to cultivate a diverse pipeline of 'NextGen' leaders, ensuring leadership continuity and fostering innovation within the organization.
Predictive Analytics 1.0
Launching a machine learning program targeting key areas such as Enrollment, HR Turnover, Donors, and Research proposals, leveraging predictive analytics to drive strategic decisions.
Title IX
Implementing automated Title IX, enhancing compliance and efficiency in handling sensitive matters related to discrimination and harassment.
Cognos Conversion
Transitioning all users from MST Cognos packages to Power BI, aligning with the UM System Cognos conversion, and ensuring a seamless shift to a more robust reporting platform.
Space Planning & Management
Developing a comprehensive space management model and reporting system, optimizing the utilization and allocation of physical spaces across the campus.
Parking
Conducting an analytic review and process enhancement of parking operations at S&T, aiming for a more streamlined and user-friendly parking experience.
Advancement 2.0
Completing Phase II of the University Advancement BI Onboarding project, furthering the development and integration of business intelligence within the advancement efforts.
Mobile Apps
Designing mobile apps for high utilization reports, providing on-the-go access to critical data and insights, enhancing accessibility and responsiveness.
